Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Embrace and actively support the Catholic mission of the school through your words actions and instruction aligning with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Exhibit strong planning skills by developing lesson plans that effectively implement stated goals and objectives incorporating school and diocesan curriculum objectives.
- Demonstrate competence in mathematics education by possessing current and thorough knowledge of the curriculum and subject matter.
- Able to communicate mathematical concepts effectively to students and organize the classroom learning environment and materials to maximize student engagement and motivation.
- Utilize a variety of instructional practices to effectively address diverse student learning needs.
- Develop and implement effective assessment methods directly related to curriculum objectives and the concepts and skills taught consistently and effectively evaluating student progress in mathematics.
- Understand and apply methods to gather analyze and utilize student performance data to inform your instruction and better meet the individual learning needs of students in mathematics.
- Establish a consistent and positive disciplinary approach that fosters selfdirection and confidence in students; maintain high expectations for student behavior and manage inappropriate behavior effectively.
- Collaborate effectively with school and diocesan administration and work cooperatively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents.
- Maintain professional responsibility at all times by adhering to diocesan and school policies and practices.
- Uphold the confidentiality of information and demonstrate sound judgment in your dress and general behavior.
- Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment that is conducive to mathematical learning.
- Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals.
- Serve as a faculty advisor to one of our House Mentor Groups.
- Participate in assigned extracurricular responsibilities within the House system.
- Support the mission and values of our school and Catholic education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
- Hold a valid State of Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate with a Mathematics (EX) endorsement.
- Demonstrate a passion for forming intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students parents and colleagues.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver effective evidencebased mathematics instruction.
