Job Description

Holiday Inn London Camden Lock a stylish gem 5 minutes walk from Camden Town underground station. Our 130 bedrooms are designed to give plenty of room to work and relax. Our Glasshouse Camden suites and Mezzanine suites are ideal for meetings and private events. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment and it is a great opportunity to learn and grow within the team

What we expect from you:

  • We are looking for a team player who can communicate well with others.
  • Good knowledge of hotel maintenance.
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of plant maintenance and Saeker is desirable.
  • Minimum 1 year experience within hospitality industry in a relevant role is a must.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will:

  • Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
    • Manage and monitor utilities to ensure effective and costefficient operation.
    • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff (e.g. guest rooms housekeeping equipment).
    • Implement and maintain the hotels preventive maintenance programme (e.g. water testing equipment checks meter readings).
    • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations adopting safe working practices at all times.
    • Carry out regular inspections to identify and anticipate maintenance needs.
    • Schedule repairs during low occupancy periods where feasible.
    • Maintain adequate stock levels of frequently used maintenance items.
    • Log track and close maintenance issues using the Opera system.
    • Deliver highquality budgetconscious maintenance work with minimal disruption.
    • Keep work areas clean safe and inform relevant teams once systems are back online.
    • Coordinate and supervise specialized contractor work as needed.
    • Be available for emergency callouts or support.
    • Align holiday planning with the Maintenance Manager.
    • Report product quality issues to the Manager on Duty.
    • Ensure the hotel meets IHG fire life and safety standards.
