Job Description
At the Y we provide a safe place for kids to learn fundamental skills build selfreliance and find a greater sense of purpose. But most of all Summer Day Camp at the Y offers an experience that is always so much fun. We offer camps across the metroMilwaukee area find the camp thats perfect for you!
Tasks
- Plan and lead engaging activities for campers ensuring a fun and safe environment.
- Supervise and support campers during all camp activities including meals games and field trips.
- Help in creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere that aligns with the YMCAs values.
- Communicate effectively with campers parents and other staff to ensure a smooth camp experience.
- Assist in maintaining camp facilities and equipment keeping them clean and organized.
Requirements
- Must have a passion for working with children and creating a positive fun environment.
- Ability to lead and engage groups of kids in various activities while ensuring their safety.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with campers parents and team members.
- Demonstrated commitment to the YMCA values of honesty respect and responsibility.
- Previous experience in a camp setting or similar role is preferred but not required.
