Job Description

JOB DEFINITION:

Assist the Program Supervisor in managing the daily operations of a residential program providing housing and supports to people with psychiatric disabilities


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of High School Diploma Bachelors degree in human services or related field preferred


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Experience in a mental health related field.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist Supervisor in initial and ongoing training of staff.
  2. Provide direct care services and assist Supervisor in establishing staffing patterns and securing site coverage as needed.
  3. Provide counseling behavioral interventions restorative services assistance in negotiating community activities and crisis management services.
  4. Monitor train and assist residents in all programs in household maintenance activities to ensure a clean safe and homelike environment. Directly participate in household maintenance activities when required.
  5. Provide training supervision and assistance to residents in daily activities including food purchases recreational activities and meal planning and personal care activities.
  6. Assist residents in developing meaningful service plan goals and provide supports to assist residents in achieving their goals.
  7. Provide residents in licensed housing programs with restorative services appropriate to their needs treating residents with dignity and respect.
  8. Document interactions with residents and resident progress in accordance with agency policies and standards.
  9. Assist Supervisor in the oversight of the sites to ensure a clean safe and homelike environment.
  10. Supervise the day-to-day management of the residence in cooperation with the Supervisor including food purchases recreational activities meal planning and personal care activities of residents.
  11. Assist in oversight of program and resident finances.
  12. Oversee fire safety training activities and ensures fire drills are conducted in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  13. Oversee and participate in all Medicaid billable activities under leadership of the Supervisor and/or ensure that all documentation is current and in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  14. Participate in weekly Senior Counselor Quality Assurance meetings
  15. Oversee management of medications in compliance with agency policies
  16. Maintain collateral contacts with outside service providers and participates in case conferences as scheduled.
  17. Assist Supervisor in oversight of records and ensures appropriate documentation of client activities as well as the maintenance of client records in accordance with agency standards.
  18. Provide transportation as needed using personal vehicle when agency vehicle is not available.
  19. Promptly report all emergencies incidents maintenance and safety issues to the Supervisor
  20. Co- lead team meetings as scheduled.
  21. Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals
  22. Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
