Overview
The Radiologist (MD DNB DMRD) plays a critical role in our healthcare facility in Kozhikode providing expert imaging services essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position integrates advanced imaging techniques with a deep understanding of clinical considerations ensuring comprehensive patient care. The radiologist will work closely with other medical professionals to interpret radiological images communicate findings and contribute to patient management plans. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures including Xrays MRI CT scans and ultrasounds.
- Interpret imaging studies and provide accurate reports within established timelines.
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss patient results and appropriate followup actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in radiological procedures.
- Participate in case discussions and offer expert opinions during multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Engage in continuous education to stay updated on the latest advancements in radiology.
- Monitor patient care quality and recommend improvements when necessary.
- Train and mentor junior radiology staff and medical students.
- Manage and maintain radiology equipment ensuring it operates at optimal levels.
- Adhere to hospital policies and radiological regulations.
- Prepare and present educational programs on radiological practices for healthcare staff.
- Participate in research and development initiatives to advance radiological science.
- Assist in developing protocols and best practices for imaging services.
- Foster patient comfort and address concerns regarding imaging procedures.
- Contribute to quality assurance processes to enhance service delivery.
Required Qualifications
- MD in Radiology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- DNB in Radiology or its equivalent qualification.
- DMRD qualification is mandatory.
- Valid medical license to practice as a radiologist.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in radiology.
- Proficiency in interpreting advanced imaging modalities.
- Strong knowledge of radiological procedures and patient care.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
- Effective communication skills to interact with medical professionals patients and families.
- Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy in reporting.
