One of our clients is seeking a highly experienced Applications Database Administrator (DBA) to provide daily production and development support for the Oracle Financial and HR System operating within the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment.
The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring patching performance tuning and general application/database administration ensuring the system remains secure stable and performant. This is a handson role requiring onsite work three days per week.
Provide daily support for Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) applications and associated databases
Apply Oracle Critical Security patches and Oracle EBS application patches
Monitor production and development environments for performance and reliability issues
Respond to development and operational support requests from the applications team
Support Power BI reporting infrastructure ensuring smooth integration with the Oracle database environment
Perform scheduled afterhours patching and maintenance activities (not a formal oncall rotation)
Collaborate with the Database Manager and technical teams to enhance system stability and security
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues system errors and datarelated anomalies
8 years supporting production and development Oracle EBS applications and databases
8 years working with Oracle EBS 12.2.12
8 years working in Oracle Linux 8 environments
Strong experience with database containerization and editionbased redefinition (EBR/Editioning)
Experience with patching Oracle EBS and applying Oracle security updates
Practical experience in performance monitoring and optimization of enterprise Oracle applications
Experience working in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments
Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for database monitoring and management
Experience with Linux Korn shell scripting for automation and system administration tasks
