Our Client is a growth marketing agency that focuses on connecting clients to its target audience by having an impact on sales. It has been in existence since 2015 and has grown to have multiple subsidiaries which include but are not limited to a performance marketing agency a creative communication agency and a marketing tech company.
Job Objective
We are seeking a highly experienced and resultsoriented Head of Performance Marketing to lead and scale our performance marketing capabilities. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing implementing and optimising datadriven marketing strategies across various digital platforms to achieve ambitious client goals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the performance marketing landscape a proven track record of delivering significant ROI and strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a talented team. You will be a strategic thinker with a handson approach capable of both formulating highlevel strategies and diving into the details of campaign and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive performance marketing strategies aligned with client objectives and agency goals across Google Ads (Search Display YouTube) Meta Ads (Facebook Instagram) TikTok Ads Programmatic Advertising (DSP selection setup optimisation) and potentially other relevant platforms.
Oversee the endtoend management of performance marketing campaigns including planning setup implementation budget management monitoring optimisation and reporting.
Utilise robust analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics platformspecific dashboards) to track key performance indicators (KPIS) analyse campaign performance identify trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Develop and manage performance marketing budgets effectively ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximise ROI and achieve client targets. Create accurate performance forecasts and projections.
Lead mentor and develop a team of performance marketing specialists fostering a collaborative and highperformance culture. Set clear goals provide regular feedback and identify training and development opportunities.
Establish and maintain high performance standards for the team and individual campaigns ensuring adherence to best practices and quality control.
Work closely with other agency teams including Account Management Social Media Content and Analytics to ensure integrated and cohesive marketing strategies.
Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Economics or related field
7 to 10 years of progressive experience in performance marketing with a significant portion of that experience within a digital marketing agency environment.
Demonstrable and strong proficiency in managing and optimising campaigns across:
Google Ads: Search Display YouTube (including advanced features like audience targeting bidding strategies and conversion tracking).
Meta Ads: Facebook Instagram (including campaign objectives audience segmentation creative optimisation and pixel implementation).
TikTok Ads: Campaign setup creative best practices audience targeting and performance analysis.
Programmatic Advertising: Deep understanding of DSPS (e.g. DV360 The Trade Desk) audience targeting bidding strategies and ad exchange ecosystems.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful performance marketing strategies that have delivered significant ROI and achieved client KPIS.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data identify key insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
Excellent understanding of web analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics) and attribution models.
Experience in managing and optimising significant advertising budgets.
Ability to analyse data and optimise strategies based on insights.
Excellent interpersonal communication and relationshipbuilding skills
Strong leadership communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g. Google Ads Meta Blueprint) are a strong advantage.
Experience working with Nigerian market dynamics and consumer behavior is highly desirable.
