Job Description

Position: Purchase & Accountant

Location: Kolkata India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily purchasing activities vendor coordination and procurement processes.

  • Maintain accurate stock records handle stock inward/outward and ensure timely stock audits.

  • Process purchase orders GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes) and vendor invoices.

  • Coordinate with suppliers for pricing availability and timely deliveries.

  • Maintain accounting records including entries for purchases sales payments receipts and expenses.

  • Prepare and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Assist in GST TDS and other statutory filings with support from external consultants.

  • Prepare MIS reports for stock purchase and accounting.

  • Support internal audits and yearend financial closing activities.

  • Collaborate with the sales and warehouse teams to ensure stock accuracy and movement tracking.



Requirements

Experience:

  • 2 5 years of experience in purchase accounting and stock management preferably in retail or distribution sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in Tally Prime or similar accounting software.

  • Good working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP Pivot Tables etc..

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multitasking in a fastpaced environment.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor s degree in Commerce or related field.

  • Additional certification in inventory management or accounting will be an advantage.
