STRUCTURAL CIVIL ENGINEER FMD IGNITIS RENEWABLES

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Engineering team at Ignitis Renewables Latvia where youll contribute to the development of sustainable infrastructure by providing technical expertise in structural design permitting and construction oversight. You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by:

• Preparing technical specifications for structural and where relevant road design ensuring alignment with project needs and design standards
• Reviewing structural and road designs to ensure compliance with applicable codes regulations and manufacturer requirements
• Supporting and participating in technicaleconomic feasibility studies to assess the viability of infrastructure projects
• Assisting in obtaining necessary permits and ensuring full compliance with applicable local regulations
• Preparing technical documentation reports and specifications for construction projects developed by the Development team using optimal and costeffective solutions
• Advising on the condition of existing structures and infrastructure and identifying necessary repairs when needed
• Contributing to longterm infrastructure maintenance planning to help extend asset lifespan and prevent deterioration
• Providing technical input and feedback during the procurement process including preparation of specifications for road repair maintenance and new access infrastructure installations.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree or higher in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering 
• At least 5 years of experience in structural design with knowledge of local technical regulations and standards
• Good understanding of construction methods and infrastructure development
• Skilled in structural design and analysis tools including AutoCAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Proficiency in both Latvian and English (oral and written) essential for regular communication with international colleagues and partners
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Valid B category driving license.

Would be an advantage:

• Experience with road design using Autodesk Civil 3D
• Knowledge or experience in renewable energy projects (e.g. onshore/offshore wind solar battery energy storage).
