Job Description
Job Summary
The Manager of Information Systems oversees coordinates and supervises a team of professional technical and analytical staff involved in application development technical services and enterprise projects. This position is responsible for driving organizational and departmental goals through effective leadership ensuring the achievement of key results in patient and customer service employee engagement financial health business growth and quality and safety outcomes. The IT Manager works closely with key stakeholders across the organization including external auditors process owners management and business leaders to ensure alignment and success in IT initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Is responsible for departments operational excellence; ensures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies procedures and professional standards.
- Ensures the roll out of tactical action plans contributor goals and accountability measures that result in successful of organization goals.
- Directs and manages IT projects including system upgrades migrations and new technology implementations.
- Manages daily operations with accountability for achieving targeted levels of growth budget and additional specified short and long term financial objectives.
- Ensures data protection and regulatory compliance as well as implements cyber security measures and protocols.
- Responsible for overall information technology and network operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant work experience in healthcare information systems required or
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field required
- 24 years of experience in healthcare or information services required
- 13 years of leadership experience preferred
