We are seeking an experienced and innovative Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Madinah Saudi Arabia. As the secondincommand in our kitchen you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of culinary excellence and leading our talented team of chefs.
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations ensuring efficiency and maintaining quality standards
- Demonstrate and teach a variety of culinary techniques to develop and mentor the culinary team
- Create and implement new menu items considering local tastes and seasonal ingredients
- Manage food cost control inventory and budget in collaboration with the Executive Chef
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of hygiene in the kitchen
- Coordinate with other departments to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests
- Oversee the preparation and of banquets and catering events
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for all food production
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity and professional growth
- Step in for the Executive Chef when necessary assuming full responsibility for kitchen operations
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or in a similar senior culinary role
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Excellent culinary expertise with a deep understanding of various cuisines and cooking techniques
- Proficiency in menu planning recipe development and food presentation
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
- Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced highpressure environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in kitchen management software and MS Office applications
- Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
- Food safety certification (e.g. ServSafe)
- Experience in luxury hotel or resort settings is preferred
- Familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine and dietary requirements is advantageous
