Overview:
An SAP UI5 Consultant with Java experience plays a pivotal role in the development and implementation of innovative applications within an SAP environment. This position is vital for bridging the gap between complex backend systems and intuitive frontend solutions ensuring seamless user experiences and high functionality in applications. The consultant will be responsible for designing coding testing and deploying userfriendly applications while collaborating closely with crossfunctional teams. Their expertise in both UI5 and Java enables them to optimize application performance and enhance functionality. This role requires not only technical proficiency but also strong communication skills to gather requirements and present solutions to stakeholders. A successful consultant will contribute to the overall success of projects ensure alignment with business needs and keep pace with the evolving SAP ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and enhance SAP UI5 applications to meet business requirements.
- Integrate UI5 applications with backend Java systems.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure application reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with business analysts to gather and define application requirements.
- Provide training and support to endusers on SAP UI5 functionalities.
- Implement best coding practices and maintain code quality standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure integrity and efficiency.
- Work with UX/UI designers to create responsive and engaging user interfaces.
- Document development processes code changes and application features.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and UI5 enhancements.
- Participate in Agile development processes including sprints and standups.
- Optimize application performance through efficient coding and architecture.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams for integrated solutions.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues and implementing fixes.
- Contribute to project planning and implementation strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP UI5 and Fiori development.
- Strong expertise in Java programming and application development.
- Proficient in JavaScript HTML5 and CSS for frontend development.
- Experience with SAP Web IDE or similar development tools.
- Understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA is a plus.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Experience working in Agile project environments.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
