Job Description

Position: Sous Chef
Location: MoretoninMarsh Gloucestershire
Salary: From 38000 to 40000 (base salary) service charge depending on experience

We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our talented kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef to step into a key leadership role within a highperforming progressive kitchen environment. As a Sous Chef you will support the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations leading your team and ensuring our dishes are executed to the highest standards. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior chefs managing service and contributing to the development of seasonal menus.

Salary & Progression:

  • Competitive salary range from 38000 to 40000 based on experience.

  • Additional service charge (average 6000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage your section ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standard.

  • Assist in the daytoday running of the kitchen alongside the Head Chef maintaining a high level of organisation.

  • Ensure consistent food quality portion control and food safety standards are upheld at all times.

  • Train and mentor junior chefs providing guidance and development opportunities.

  • Contribute to menu creation developing new dishes with seasonal sustainable ingredients.

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness organisation and health & safety standards.

  • Foster a positive collaborative kitchen environment where creativity and quality are at the forefront.

  • Support sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing practices aligned with our B Corp mission.

What We re Looking For:

  • A passionate chef with strong experience in highquality kitchens ideally with previous Sous Chef experience.

  • A calm organised approach to managing a busy kitchen environment.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • An eye for detail and consistency in food presentation and .

  • A passion for seasonal sustainable produce and ethical sourcing.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high standard of service.
