Your role at Baxter

This position is located in Qubec Canada.

The Field Service Representative performs multiple functions related to product readiness for patient utilization on a wide range of rental and customer owned medical products. Additionally will provide delivery removal and service support for products (Smart beds Operating Room tables lights and booms) in service centers and customer accounts in a timely and professional manner. This position requires operating a fleet vehicle in a safe manner as well as direct customer contact. Cleaning disinfecting operational function checks and minor to complex repairs of products will be expected. This role will require oncall coverage up to 24/7 basis including weekends and holidays which may require customer account visits. It will also require local and occasional overnight travel.

What youll be doing

• Perform preinstallation maintenance including preventative maintenance and between patient inspection and modification procedures on various Baxter products unassisted to include visually audibly and manually inspect Baxter products for electrical mechanical component replacement or cosmetic problems requiring adjustment or repair use the appropriate tools in making required adjustments and repairs and monitor the readings of electronic meters and gauges
• Deliver and remove products as well as complete functional checks
• Conduct technical inservice to demonstrate features of products
• Effectively implement service policies and procedures to support company objectives including service documentation SOP/WI training expense and fleet reporting.
• Complete all required safety and compliance learning modules and ensure adherence to driving and safety regulations and adhere to pre/post trip inspections as required and Hours of Service
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers sales and other departments and customers
• Provide exceptional customer service develop and maintain positive relationships with various levels of internal and external customers
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment including 5S activities (sort set in order shine standardize sustain)
• Complete routine cleaning & maintenance on products
• Lift and carry up to 65 pounds using appropriate processes safely and using ergonomic procedures

What youll bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years experience in electronics biomedical equipment technology medical devices or electromechanical troubleshooting experience required
• Bilingual French and English Required
• Ability to use computer and software to complete work orders for internal regulatory and project documentation as well as diagnose basic repairs
• 3 years of experience working handson with basic repairs
• Valid drivers license and driving record that meets company standards and Transport Canada requirements
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read comprehend interpret analyze and apply technical information including but not limited to technical manuals technical bulletins schematics etc
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Occasional overtime required
• Up to 60 travel
• Strong people skills with the ability to maintain professional and courteous conduct with peers internal and external customers
• Basic mathematical skills related to calculating/analyzing weights and measures volume distance etc
