Job Title:Music TherapistHospice
Job Location:Our Music Therapistssee patients in the most ideal setting the patients home!
Our officeislocated in Dunmore PA
Shift(s):Perdiem
Office hours Mon Fri 8:30 5:00.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
- Evaluate visit and assess patient care and plans with patient/family and Hospice Supervisor
- Develop a music plan of care that is geared toward a comforting healing
- Work with the therapy team and use music as part of comprehensive therapeutic treatment plan
- Educate staff treatment team or other professionals regarding appropriate referral criteria for music therapy based on population needs
- Observe the client in music and or nonmusic settings
- Identify client functioning level strengths and areas of needs such as cognitive communicative and emotional
- Identify clients clinical history activity symptoms cultural and spiritual background when indicated
- Must have integrity a professional commitment to music therapy and the quality of services provided
Requirements:
- Must have a current drivers license
- Ability to travel to case assignments as assigned.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Currentcertification as aMusicTherapistPennsylvania
