Reporting to the Privacy Manager the Privacy Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the organizations data privacy compliance efforts. This position involves a mix of analytical and collaborative responsibilities to ensure that data is managed in compliance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
essential functions
- Continuous updates and maintenance of data inventory for both structured and unstructured data ensuring proper categorization and tracking of sensitive information.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments to identify potential privacy risks evaluate mitigation strategies and document outcomes.
- Map the flow of data across systems to ensure that all data processing activities are documented and in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support the development and maintenance of privacy policies procedures and guidelines.
- Support the development and delivery of training materials and communications related to data privacy.
- Assist in handling data subject access requests (DSARs) within required timelines.
- Support in implementation and automation of data classification and record retention requirements.
- Assist in evaluating thirdparty vendors for privacy compliance.
- Collaboration with different business units to ensure alignment of privacy practices and compliance with regulations.
- All other duties and projects assigned.
knowledge skills and ability
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations (e.g. GLBA CCPA CPA)
- Familiarity of privacy concepts such as privacy by design data lifecycle management retention schedules and applicable frameworks
- Experience with privacy tools and platforms such as TrustArc
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Ability to identify privacy risks and document mitigation strategies
- Attention to detail and ability to document processes clearly

experience/education
- 23 years of related working experience performing privacy functions and responsibilities
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience in related discipline
- Privacy related certification (CIPPUS) or ability to obtain one is a plus

The incumbent in this position will perform the essential functions of the position primarily in a hybrid environment which requires sitting at a desk for the majority of the day with or without accommodations. This position requires low to medium levels of interaction and collaboration with others.
