Job Description:
Manage the daytoday operations of the Department of Urology Residency and Medical Student Program and serve as liaison and facilitator between learners faculty and other staff members and the ACGME. Will also provide administrative support by coordinating select departmental administrative activities.
Job Duties:
25 Prepares all ACGME accreditation reports and following with ACGME and University guidelines manages competencies evaluations procedure logs and workduty monitoring. Maintain efiling system in accordance with ACGME for renewal of accreditation status. Will serve as liaison and facilitator between learners faculty and other staff members and the ACGME.
20 Management of departmental office functions (e.g. call schedule faculty reimbursements faculty residents and APP licensure (DEA DHEC and SCLLR) and other general office duties. Serving as the Departments lead for shared calendars and the liaison for maintaining the Urology website. Establishes and maintains files for past present and future residents. Maintains uptodate licensing for residents (DEA DHEC and SCLLR). Establishes and maintains files for past present and future residents.
20 Works with Medical Student Director in all aspects of the UME Program in order to receive continuous accreditation of our medical student program; work closely with Curriculum Director to ensure outside visiting students are accepted for rotations in the Urology Program. Submit letters of recommendations on behalf of faculty. Coordinates scheduling courses for 3rd and 4th year MUSC students. Provide shadowing opportunities for the 1st and 2nd year students; coordinate shadowing dates based on faculty availability. Post grades in WebAdvisor.
10 Coordinates and arranges match interviews. Ensures timely completion of matching information. Ensures appropriate deadlines for orientation are completed.
10 Coordinates resident rotations conferences vacations journal club and call schedules. Handles all travel coordination including flights hotels registrations etc. Prepares and submits expense travel for reimbursement.
10 Coordinates the interviewing and onboarding of Urologys Minimally Invasive Oncology Fellowship and Bladder & Pelvic Health Fellowship. Provides administrative support to those 3 positions throughout their 1year fellowship.
5 Organizes and administers departmental related events such as grand rounds holiday party visiting professor and residents dinner. Assists with Faculty recruitment by arranging travel for candidates arranging interviews with an assortment of faculty leaders and potential collaborators. Creates an itinerary for candidates.
