Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic Universitys Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry within the Division of Academic Affairs is seeking an OURI Program Coordinator in Boca Raton FL.
Summary of Responsibilities include:
- Manage OURIs social media outlets (Instagram Facebook Twitter & LinkedIn) announcementsListserv emails website and various FAU announcement platforms and utilizing these outlets todisseminate OURI related information (including but not limited to student spotlights currentprogram opportunities and other URI important information) to the University community (Facultystaff and students on all campuses) with an emphasis on early student engagement.
- Cocoordinate the hosting of the annual undergraduate research symposium including organizing theevent space initiating the online application process recruiting judges and volunteerscollecting and reviewing abstracts organizing all presentations for the day of the eventassisting all student presenters overseeing and coordinating all event preparation items such asthe event agenda signin table items oral presentation schedule poster placement tablinggroups judges participants guests etc.
- Coordinate the Undergraduate Researcher of the Year (UROY) program including the receivingorganizing finalizing and assessment of applications and abstracts associated with this program.
- Coordinate assessment of student research outcomes including tracking publications includingstudents as an author/coauthor and updating internal URI student data for tracking purposes.
- Support students interested in getting involved in research and coordinate and advise thestudent club associated with OURI the Council for Scholarship and Inquiry (CSI) to offer andparticipate in campus outreach presentations events and workshops on research and inquiryopportunities across all campuses.
- Coordinate the URI student travel initiative including serving as the point person to helpstudents with research related travel requests to student government organizing and leadingstudent participation and travel in various URI symposia throughout the year including but notlimited to Florida Undergraduate Research Conference Posters at the Capital (FL) National Councilon Undergraduate Research conference OURI related student fieldtrips and other events as needed.
- Monitor and respond to OURI emails and student inquiries.
- Serve on the Florida Undergraduate Research Association (FURA) committee.
- Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.

Masters degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or bachelors degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
