Job Objective:
The InHouse Interior Designer will be responsible for overseeing the condition of the interior spaces within our facility. This role involves monitoring assessing and recommending upgrades repairs and design improvements to ensure the interior environment remains functional aesthetically pleasing and aligned with the needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive detailoriented and have a strong understanding of interior design principles space planning and facility maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in interior design Architecture or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience in interior design preferably in a commercial or healthcare environment.
- Licensure: n/a
- Strong knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders including contractors staff and leadership.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of building codes ADA compliance and safety regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Regularly assess and monitor the condition of the interior spaces including furniture fixtures finishes and overall design.
- Identify areas needing repairs maintenance or upgrades and create recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with facility management and maintenance teams to ensure necessary upgrades and repairs are carried out.
- Develop design proposals for interior renovations and enhancements keeping in mind budget constraints and functional requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to obtain quotes and manage interior projects from concept to completion.
- Ensure compliance with building codes safety standards and accessibility regulations in all design and renovation projects.
- Maintain an inventory of furniture equipment and design elements ensuring proper upkeep and replacements as needed.
- Create and manage interior design budgets track expenses and ensure costeffective solutions.
- Stay uptodate with the latest trends in interior design materials and technologies incorporating best practices into the facilitys design strategy.
- Provide input and feedback on color schemes lighting flooring and layout to optimize the overall aesthetic and functionality of spaces.
- Assist in creating design standards and guidelines for the interior spaces of the facility.
