Job Description

Diversion Bed Program Manager

Location: Cape Girardeau MO
FLSA: FullTime Exempt
Pay Range
: $/year

Schedule: Monday Friday; 8a 4:30p*
* This position requires that the employee be responsible for being on call and covering vacant shifts in the event of a callin/absent staff and other coverage has not been secured. Hours may fluctuate dependent upon program need.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Diversion Bed Program Manager to oversee the operations of the John A. Hudak Treatment Center. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our clients maintaining compliance with all regulations and providing clinical guidance to our program staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and a passion for making a positive impact in the community.

John A. Hudak Treatment Center Overview:

The John A Hudak Treatment Center is a 24/7 Diversion Bed Program which offers an alternative for individuals at risk of hospitalization and an opportunity to stabilize while remaining in the community. The primary goals of the program are to restore individuals in nonemergency crisis to their previous level of functioning prevent trauma associated with readmission to an inpatient psychiatric hospital and to allow individuals to resume independent living as soon as possible. Division beds can also be used to help transition individuals back into the community after hospitalization by providing shortterm supervised support. Common reasons for referrals for an individual include:

  • Needs oversight for safety but not actively suicidal;
  • Needs temporary stabilization due to exacerbation of symptoms;
  • Needs respite from real or imagined stressors at home or in the community;
  • Are medication noncompliant but in agreement to take medication as prescribed if admitted; and
  • Selfcare is significantly impaired.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Youll oversee the daily operations of the Diversion Bed facility ensuring everything runs smoothly and safely. This includes managing the budget purchasing supplies and maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Clinical Leadership: Youll play a crucial role in planning and implementing clinical services. This involves participating in staff meetings coordinating with treatment teams and providing clinical guidance to Behavioral Health Technicians.
  • Staff Supervision: Youll be responsible for hiring training and supervising Behavioral Health Technicians. This includes providing ongoing performance feedback managing schedules and handling any necessary corrective actions.
  • Client Documentation: Youll ensure that all client documentation is accurate and timely. This includes developing and updating individual treatment plans coordinating with other providers and managing discharge planning.
  • Emergency Response: Youll be on call for afterhours emergencies and may need to transport clients as required. Additionally youll conduct regular reviews of observation logs and camera footage to ensure client safety.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Youll ensure compliance with all licensure rules and regulations oversee fire safety health and sanitation procedures and complete monthly program and facility reporting.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Youll work closely with other providers treatment team members and the Residential Nurse or Nursing Supervisor to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in a human servicesrelated field.
  • Recognized as a Qualified Mental Health Professional.
  • Valid drivers license and current auto insurance.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to obtain CPR/FA certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to stand walk and perform repetitive motions.
  • Close visual acuity for data analysis and computer work.
  • Exposure to infectious diseases.
