Job Description

Primary Purpose
The Graduate Recruiter will work with the JD Admissions Office to recruit a dynamic class of law students. During the fall semester the Graduate Recruiter will effectively and enthusiastically convey information to prospective applicants at inperson offcampus events and limited virtual events. They may provide inperson campus tours. They will be knowledgeable and helpful in answering questions that relate to the Law Schools academic programs admission requirements student life and career services. In addition they will be responsible for visiting and presenting to a variety of collegelevel classes and student organizations; as well as sending follow up written correspondence with those that they speak with.

Essential Functions
Support the JD Admissions Office by assisting with answering phones mailing admissions marketing and transactional materials editing communications (from law school departments and from external partners) all aspects of social media (including but not limited to content production sharing on personal accounts and helping with administrative accounts) completing research projects and other administrative duties as assigned. Work independently and effectively to manage ones time. Communicate the distinctive strengths and benefits of a McGeorge legal education effectively and enthusiastically to multiple audiences prospective students of different backgrounds prelaw advisers faculty members at undergraduate colleges and law fairs. Minimum Qualifications
May 2025 McGeorge graduate with Juris Doctorate (JD) Degree.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working and collaborating with various departments at the law school student organization leadership and membership. Ability and interest in traveling outside of the state. Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Highly organized detailoriented and studentcentered. Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice equity and inclusion in a university setting. Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Work Schedule
Typically work preformed during standard business hours. May require travel evening events and occasional weekends. This is a temporary nonbenefit eligible position.
