Job Description

Teaches OpenSciEd 8thgrade science on the Massachusetts strong knowledge of Massachusetts Science Curriculum the learning and growth of all students by providing highquality and coherent instructionDemonstrates instructional and management practices that establish high expectations and create a safe and effective classroom instruction materials and assessments to make challenging material accessible to all students including English learners and students with on the effectiveness of lessons units and interactions with students both individually and with colleagues and uses insights gained to improve practice and student in schoolwide and subject specific professional development and grade level team the learning and growth of all students through ethical culturally proficient skilled and collaborative informal and formal assessment methods and feedback practices to measure and improve student learning and data to inform instruction monitor progress and identify students in need of targeted instruction/ and engages students and promotes opportunities for students to generate understanding on their own through real world inclusive instructional practices to account for differences in students learning collaboration and student engagement in the context of science instruction and learning in OpenSciEd training over the summerPerform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Building Principal and/or Curriculum Coordinator
