Wilson Elsers McLean office is currently seeking a Senior General Liability Attorneywith experience in general liability personal injury transportation and/or catastrophic is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with 8 years of litigation experience to grow in their careers with exposure to a wide variety of prominent national clients and by taking on substantial litigation responsibilities. Working directly with inhouse counsel the attorney in this role will have the exciting opportunity to interact directly with sophisticated clients that we represent as well as with teams of our own talented experienced professionals.
This is a hybrid position offering great flexibility.

Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of Virginia
- 8 years of defense litigation experience
- Experience in insurance defense general liability trucking and transportation or complex litigation preferred.
- Background with emerging ecommerce / gig economy legal issues preferred but not required.
- Drafting discovery and pretrial motions a must.
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Sophisticated technical skills necessary
- Experience handling court appearances depositions and trial experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a litigation caseload working cases from beginning to end
- Work closely and collaborate with other attorneys and partners
- Regular trial preparation investigation court appearances mediations and depositions
- Communicate with clients and provide reports
