Job Description
Overview
The Rehabilitation Technician under the supervision of a licensed physical occupational or speech therapist assists with treatment procedures and delivering patient care as directed by the therapist. S/he works with infants children adolescents adults and senior patients to meet therapist and departmental needs.
Responsibilities
* Implements the Physical Therapists treatment plan to achieve the stated goals and documents the patients response to the treatment.
* Obtains and records patient data.
* Reports significant changes in patient condition to Physical Therapist.
* Demonstrates ability to use equipment according to procedure.
* Demonstrates knowledge of patient/family education and teaching programs.
* Demonstrates the ability to track and order supplies for the area of responsibility.
* Demonstrates knowledge of supply and equipment setup of supplies &/or equipment for treatment procedures as directed by Physical Therapist.
* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employees area of responsibility.
* If required for the position ensures all certifications and/or licenses are uptodate and valid prior to expiration dates.
* Completes all company mandatory modules and required jobspecific training in the specified time frame.
* Demonstrates the ability to participate in ongoing departmental process improvement.
* Attends at least 75 of department meetings; responsible for 100 of meeting content by reviewing minutes discussing with meeting facilitators and/or reviewing presentations.

Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.
Direct patient care experience Preferred
Computer and office skills Preferred
