The Canvas Bar a new bar and craft cocktail establishment located on the ground floor of CANVAS the premier condominium in the heart of Miamis Arts Entertainment District. The newest venture from acclaimed restaurant operators the Graspa Group the Canvas Bar will offer drinks and food along with a fun space to hang out. The Canvas bar is a home away from home. Are you passionate about food and eager to be part of a dynamic team in the hospitality industry We are looking for enthusiastic kitchen help to join our fabulous kitchen crew! As a vital member of our culinary team youll play an essential role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our kitchen. In this handson position youll assist our chefs in preparing delicious meals while ensuring a smooth workflow. Youll have the chance to learn from experienced professionals develop your culinary skills and contribute to our vibrant kitchen culture. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to share their ideas and grow together. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation by washing chopping and portioning ingredients
- Keep the kitchen clean and organized including washing dishes and utensils
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations and dining areas
- Support chefs by restocking supplies and organizing ingredients
- Dispose of waste and manage the recycling process
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe kitchen environment
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Physically able to lift and carry heavy items
- Flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
