Job Description
Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Lead Your Team to Excellence
Were seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to lead our highperforming maintenance team in Charlottesville VA. In this key leadership role youll oversee all aspects of building maintenance repairs and improvement projects while managing a skilled team of maintenance professionals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals fostering a culture of excellence and safety
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance projects repairs and renovations
- Manage contractor relationships and oversee thirdparty service providers
- Create and maintain maintenance schedules budgets and documentation
- Ensure compliance with building codes safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor inventory of tools equipment and supplies
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree preferred)
- 4 years of supervisory experience in facilities maintenance or construction management
- Valid Virginia Drivers License
- Proficiency in blueprint reading CAD and building construction standards
- Strong knowledge of national state and local building codes
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and work order management systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade license in relevant field
- Technical training or completed apprenticeship in building trades
- Experience in healthcare or commercial facility management
