A&E CAD Tutor Foundation & Specialization TracksJob Description:
The A&E CAD department is seeking knowledgeable and dedicated tutors to assist students with coursework in both foundational and specialized CAD disciplines. Tutors provide academic support inperson and virtually helping students strengthen their skills complete assignments and improve their understanding of CAD principles.
Foundation Tutor
Foundation Tutors support students in introductory A&E CAD courses. Applicants must have completed the following courses with an A average:
DFTG 1405 Technical Drafting
DFTG 1433 Mechanical Drafting
DFTG 2431 Introduction to BIM
DFTG 2430 Civil Drafting
Specialization Tutor
Specialization Tutors provide support in advanced coursework within a chosen discipline. Applicants must have completed all required courses for their specialization with an A average:
BIM/CAD Specialization
DFTG 1405 Technical Drawing
DFTG 2431 Introduction to BIM
DFTG 2428 Commercial
Civil CAD Specialization
DFTG 1405 Technical Drawing

In addition to coursework requirements all applicants must provide three A&E CAD instructor referrals.
Tutor students oneonone or in groups both virtually and inperson
Assist students with coursework software applications and drafting techniques
Organize and provide supplemental learning materials
Offer feedback on student progress and study habits
Support study groups and facilitate collaborative learning
Maintain a professional and supportive tutoring environment
Required:
A average in required courses for the selected tutor category
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner
Familiarity with CAD software and industry practices
One semester of related work experience
Preferred:
Previous tutoring or teaching experience
Associate degree or substantial coursework in a relevant CAD discipline
Work is performed in an academic setting both online and inperson
May require standing sitting or occasional lifting of materials
Tutors are expected to maintain professionalism and foster a positive learning atmosphere
Pay Rate
$28.30/hour
