We are seeking a strategic and experienced Global Fleet Safety Manager to lead the safety efforts for our large global fleet of lightduty service vehicles. Supporting a fastpaced innovative technology and manufacturing organization this role will be instrumental in ensuring our mobile workforce operates safely efficiently and in compliance with all relevant regulations. This leader will drive continuous improvement across our fleet safety programs and foster a worldclass safety culture across all regions.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Develop implement and oversee a comprehensive global fleet safety program for our service vehicle operations.
- Lead the standardization of safety policies and procedures across regions ensuring compliance with local national and international vehicle safety regulations.
- Partner with regional operations EHS HR and fleet teams to deliver consistent driver safety practices and performance tracking.
- Manage and optimize telematics systems including dashboards alerts and driver behavior scoring tools to reduce risks and promote safe driving.
- Oversee driver onboarding and qualification processes including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks license validations and refresher training.
- Identify trends and areas of risk using incident crash and nearmiss data; develop proactive solutions and targeted safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with fleet procurement and operations teams to ensure vehicle specifications support safety performance (e.g. safety tech ergonomics).
- Lead or support incident investigations involving fleet vehicles including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Coordinate global driver safety training programs ensuring relevance to local conditions while maintaining overall program consistency.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including collision rates safety violations and near misses to senior leadership.
- Stay informed of emerging best practices and innovations in fleet safety recommending enhancements to the program accordingly.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Safety Transportation Logistics Operations Management or a related field.
- 7 years of experience managing fleet safety programs in a large multisite or global environment preferably in service technology or manufacturing sectors.
- Deep understanding of lightduty service fleet operations and associated risks.
- Proven track record implementing and managing driver safety technologies and telematics platforms.
- Strong knowledge of regional and global fleet safety regulations (e.g. DOT OSHA EU transport regulations etc..
- Fluent business English skills (Written and spoken).
- Ability to travel to the N. Canton Ohio office weekly
