About the Opportunity
Were on the lookout for a motivated and handson Team Leader to join Programmeds Grounds Maintenance team in Melbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a stable longterm role where you can grow your career and make a real impact.
In this permanent fulltime position youll be leading a dedicated small team across the RMIT CBD and Brunswick campuses ensuring the outdoor spaces are wellmaintained safe and looking their best.
In this role youll take the lead in coordinating daytoday grounds maintenance activities overseeing onsite staff and contractors planning and delivering projects and auditing completed work to ensure it meets quality safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising a small grounds team ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
- Coordinating daily work schedules and allocating tasks based on team members skills and experience
- Promoting a positive and collaborative team environment fostering open communication and teamwork
- Monitoring team performance and providing constructive feedback to help team members grow professionally
- Managing and pest control including spraying and manual weeding
- Performing essential horticultural tasks such as formative pruning hedging mulching and planting
- Operating commercial small plant equipment for horticultural tasks
- Utilizing technology to report on assets during scheduled maintenance visits
- Ensuring all work sites are maintained and presented to a high standard while adhering to occupational health and safety protocols
About You
- Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture
- Demonstrated experience in grounds and public open space maintenance
- Experience in leading a horticultural / gardening team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- A clear commitment and understanding of Quality and Health Safety and Environment systems
- Current WWCC
- Current Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
- A current drivers license
