What does the role look like
You will be the primary point of contact for all qualityrelated matters within the Legacy Gears Value Stream at our Wolverhampton facility. As a Quality Engineer youll work enthusiastically and flexibly with diverse functional leadsensuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) and policies. Youll champion continuous improvement facilitate audits and lead corrective actions to uphold the highest standards of product and process quality.
What will your daytoday responsibilities look like
- Compliance & QMS Support
Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulatory customer and internal quality requirements. Facilitate adherence to the Quality Management System and lead processwalk audits. - ProblemSolving & Corrective Actions
Lead and facilitate 8D investigations RootCause Corrective Actions (RRCA) DIVE analyses and other structured problemsolving methodologies to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence. - Continuous Improvement
Participate in PFMEAs MPRs design reviews and formal gate reviews. Collaborate with the clinic team to elevate process maturity and drive ongoing improvements within the cell. - Data Analysis & Reporting
Prepare analyse and report on process performance against targets and on product quality against customer requirements. Provide the Measurement & Process (M&P) team with clear actionable insights. - Project & Stakeholder Engagement
Take ownership of quality objectives for assigned projects liaising closely with functional leads to ensure project success and alignment with the Value Stream strategy. - Containment & Inspection Support
Assist with containment activities and inspection protocols as required ensuring the timely resolution of any deviations.
What will you bring to the role
Essential skills:
- Technical Interpretation:
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings specifications and process documentation. - Quality & Continuous Improvement Tools:
Proven experience with measurement analysis and continuousimprovement methodologies (e.g. PFMEA 8D RRCA DIVE). - Audit & Compliance Facilitation:
Demonstrable capability in facilitating audits process walks and ensuring strict adherence to a QMS.
Desirable skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and experience with SAP.
- Enthusiastic openminded and adaptable with a willingness to learn and embrace diverse opinions and ideas.
- Previous exposure to gears manufacturing or legacy mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with formal qualitymanagement tools such as MPRs designreview processes and gatereview frameworks.
