Job Description
Macon R1 School District isseeking a MS ISS Monitor/GenEd Aidefor theschool year.
Extra Duty positions may be available when filling secondary positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 60 college hours or passage of the Praxis exam
- Be able to work with students faculty and the general public in a diplomatic friendly manner
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Participates in daily and longrange lesson planning.
2. Instructs small groups of students.
3. Prepares instructional materials and utilizes effective teaching strategies to support theindividual needs of students.
4. Uses time wisely is organized and works well with others.
5. Communicates effectively with the classroom teacher.
6. Maintains documentation on the progress of each student.
7. Attends training sessions and meetings as they occur.
8. Implements technology as appropriate within the small group setting.
9. Supports students in the classroom/ISS setting.
10. Establishes a positive and supportive relationship with the students and encouragesindependent functioning rather than dependency when appropriate.
11. Supports established building classroom and behavior management procedures.
12. Maintains ethical behavior and confidentiality in the conduct of district business.
13. Monitor student activity with in the ISS setting
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
