Job Description
Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for a Security Officer to provide an excellent level of safety and security for hotel guests and staff alike; always with a smile while providing great customer service within the beautiful Dalmar and Element Hotel in Fort Lauderdale FL.The role of our Security Officers it to provide safety security and uphold organizational procedures and policies.
General Requirements
- Conduct patrols of the property including interior and exterior areas.
- Ensurehotel property is secure and maintained safely.
- Monitorand responds to camera feeds.
- Respondto security and emergency situations.
- Completeshift reports and reports incidents to management.
- Ensureguest and employee safety with vigilance and responsiveness.
- Exercise good judgment and decisionmaking ability. May work independently.
- Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
- Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates.
- Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported through proper channels.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Practice safe work habits and comply with sanitary safety security and emergency procedures.
- Write shift reports including reports on any incidents of theft accidents or injuries when assigned.
- Respond to guest requests concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Check with manager/supervisor before leaving work area for any reason. Report to work on time when scheduledand in proper uniform.
- Attend department meetings as scheduled.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school education plus schooling in law enforcement loss prevention or related major.
- One or more years of related experience.
- Possesses and exhibits a high degree of honesty and integrity.
- Alcohol awareness and first aid certification preferred.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
