Job Description
This role is hybrid which means you will be required to work some days onsite at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other nonBest Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What youll do
- Manage various payables and sales adjustments to support the business
- Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Provide reporting and analysis of monthly financial results.
- Record daily cash deposits from sales and intercompany transactions.
- Reconcile daily sales activity with Shopify by recording activity not automatically imported into the ERP system.
- Process merchandise and outbound freight invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Work with our treasury team to schedule ACHs/wires and ensure payment is received for outstanding credits.
Basic qualifications
- 6 months of work experience in an accounting or finance capacity
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in accounting finance economics business or related field
- 3 years of experience in accounting finance economics business or related field
- Foundational knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
