Work Location: Hybrid (remote within TX)
Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) released the following solicitationJDPA3/Java Developer Programmer Analyst Opportunity for the Texas Workforce Commission.
In addition to meeting the minimum required skills the client is seeking a candidate with the following:
Perform advanced automated systems development work in support of Applications Solutions systems. Responsible for activities during all phases of the system development life cycle including analyzing diagnosing and resolving software data hardware and reporting problems and troubleshooting system issues for internal and external clients. Develop and test Java Applications that meet design specifications including accessibility and usability requirements. Document current processes review written specification additions/modifications and create test cases for submitted defects involving new and modified program policies. Analyze design and develop logical structured programs and systems appropriate to customer needs which are welldocumented programs and that may be maintained by others. Ensure adherence to program documentation and procedural standards and management goals and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will not be considered for this opportunity. Years Skills/Experience 8 Java 8 JSP/HTML/CSS/Javascript/Bootstrap 2.0 8 Experience in SQL DDL DML Stored Procedures 8 Spring MVC Spring Boot Spring Batch 8 Knowledge of Web API Development including SOAP REST XML and JSON REST preferred 8 Working knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and technology 8 MS Azure Cloud technologies Java on Azure Azure SQL Server JBOSS EAP on Azure 8 Working knowledge of scripting and batch processing in legacy and current technology 8 Experience with building WCAG compliant web applications 8 Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles practices and techniques of application programming and software design 8 Ability to accurately test software applications using a data driven development approach 8 Skill in solving problems; in scheduling testing installing and implementing programs; and in troubleshooting computer software systems

- Strong written and verbal communication skills to document relevant issues clearly and accurately and prepare accurate concise reliable reports

- Other programming languages: .Net C# Appian
- Experience with integrating web services across cloud platforms Microsoft Azure Amazon Web Services and PaaS environments
- Experience with automating identity management services to include user authentication and authorization using an authentication framework using Azure Okta LDAP Entra
- Texas Workforce Commission experience
