At the entry level the position provides employee assistance services to Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) employees and family members to facilitate the resolution of work and personal problems affecting job performance and to provide traumatic incident stress management services to employees experiencing a traumatic incident in the workplace. The position provides confidential support and resources to MDHHS employees in a hospital setting who are dealing with personal or workrelated challenges. The work with these employees involves promoting the emotional psychological and social wellbeing of staff members by offering crisis intervention conflict resolution and referrals to appropriate resources. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a healthy work environment supporting employees mental health promoting overall employee wellbeing and enhancing employee productivity and engagement. This position is a direct provider of employee assistance services and receives day to day guidance from the Employee Services Program. In a senior capacity provide comprehensive employee assistance services to highrisk Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) employees and family members to facilitate the resolution of work and personal problems affecting job performance and to provide traumatic incident and/or critical incident stress management services to employees experiencing a traumatic incident in the workplace. This position is a direct provider of employee assistance services and receives day to day guidance from the Employee Service Program.

Education
Possession of a masters degree in social work.
Experience
Clinical Social Worker 9
No specific type or amount is required.
Clinical Social Worker 10
One year of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 9.
Clinical Social Worker P11
Two years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker 10.
Clinical Social Worker 12
Three years of professional experience providing social casework and treatment services in a clinical setting equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker including one year equivalent to a Clinical Social Worker P11.

Position Location/Remote Office: This position will work remotely. Occasional travel to the office located at 400 S. Pine Street or 235 South Grand Ave. in Lansing MI may be required. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense including:
o A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
o A highspeed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
o Suitable lighting furniture and utilities.
As a Condition of Employment: this position requires successful completion of a background investigation and a criminal records check.
