Within EY Our Financial Services Legal & Regulatory team blends legal and regulatory expertise with business insights to advise toptier financial institutions. We work on highimpact projects tackling the evolving legal and regulatory challenges in banking insurance asset management payment services etc.

Your key responsibilities

As a (Senior) Consultant you will work closely with clients to help them navigate complex new and existing regulations ensuring compliance while driving business success. You will provide strategic legal advice contribute to regulatory implementation projects and collaborate with financial institutions compliance and legal teams.

Your work will cover key regulatory topics such as:

• Financial Crime (AML Sanctions Market Abuse Fraud)
• Banking & Capital Markets
• Payment Services (FinTech PSD3 digital finance)
• Asset Management
• MiFID
• Insurance (IDD incl. Value for Money DORA FiDA)
• Compliance & Governance (Fit & Proper Board effectiveness)
• Data Protection Privacy & Emerging Technologies
• Sustainable Finance & ESG Compliance
• Corporate Law

Youll be at the forefront of regulatory change working in multidisciplinary teams across Belgium and EMEIA. Your role will include client interaction business development and helping shape the future of EYs Legal & Regulatory services.

Who You Will Be Working With

• You will join a larger crossdisciplinary team of legal and regulatory professionals who offer support to the Financial Services Industry including banking asset management insurance and payment services
• You will in the context of broader projects collaborate with experts across the different areas of the Financial Services Industry value chain such as risk management specialists strategy consultants
• You will collaborate with toptier financial institutions (both on an adhoc basis as on a loaning of staff basis)
• You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support more junior team members

Skills and attributes for success

EY Legal & Regulatory is looking for ambitious and talented legal and regulatory (senior) consultants who accumulated a few years of relevant experience and are eager to (further) specialize in financial regulatory topics. If youre excited about being part of a dynamic crossdisciplinary team at the heart of regulatory change this is the opportunity for you!

• Belgian Masters degree in Law
• 2 5 years of professional experience in a law firm consultancy public body or financial institution
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations (or a strong desire to learn). Ability to perform indepth and creative analysis to be able to find pragmatic solutions for our clients challenges.
• Excellent communication & relationshipbuilding skills
• Perfect oral and written knowledge of Dutch and/or French with an excellent knowledge of English
• A team player who thrives in a fastpaced evolving and international environment
