Job Description

Our forwardthinking outstanding school in Newham is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Health and Social Care Teacher to inspire our students at Key Stages 4 and 5. You will equip them with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in a variety of caring roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and uptodate Health and Social Care lessons at BTEC Level 2 and 3.
  • Develop students practical skills through roleplay case studies and discussions.
  • Foster an understanding of the ethical and legal frameworks within the sector.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of highquality teaching resources.
  • Support students in their progression to further education or employment in Health and Social Care.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Health and Social Care Nursing Social Work or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Health and Social Care at BTEC Level 2 and 3 (or strong potential as an ECT with relevant professional experience).
  • A strong understanding of the current trends and challenges within the Health and Social Care sector.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to providing students with a wellrounded and practical vocational education.
