Job Description

Job Title: Actuarial Analyst Balance Sheet Management (NonLife)

Are you an actuarial analyst with a strong background in nonlife insurance and a passion for balance sheet optimization Join a leading financial services provider in supporting the strategic and regulatory needs of clients through cuttingedge actuarial analysis and modelling.

Duties & Responsibilities

Role Purpose:

Support the Balance Sheet Management (BSM) function by providing actuarial expertise for nonlife insurance clients with a focus on capital efficiency compliance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and enhance IFRS reserve calculation models
Maintain models for SAM Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR) and Technical Provisions
Support capital projections for the ORSA process
Assist with dividend declaration processes for various cells and promoters
Perform monthly capital adequacy calculations
Lead and support quarterly and annual regulatory reporting
Engage with internal and external stakeholders on assigned responsibilities
Drive process automation and software enhancement within the BSM function
Assist in IFRS 17 modelling of LRC (Liability for Remaining Coverage) and LIC (Liability for Incurred Claims)
Participate in capital optimisation initiatives

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science
At least 3 years of actuarial work experience preferably in nonlife insurance
Making good progress towards qualification as a Fellow (FASSA)
Advanced Excel and solid MS Office skills
Strong knowledge of MS SQL
Intermediate to advanced programming capabilities
Sound understanding of Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR) components as per prudential standards
Experience in cell captives and nonlife valuations advantageous
Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks: Insurance Act Prudential Standards IFRS 4 and IFRS 17
