Job Description

Overview

Do you want to become part of a growing team within a unique and specialised industry The fire safety industry offers varied career opportunities to scientists and engineers.

Warringtonfire part of Element has an opportunity for a number of Graduate Engineers to join our business on a perrnanent contract. The initial 2 years will be spent on our Graduate scheme starting in late September based at our Warrington site. This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing organisations within the Testing Inspection & Certification sector.

Responsibilities

Who Are We Looking For

Do you have a desire to begin a career in the fire safety industry within the following areas;

  • Building materials
  • Materials science
  • Product installation
  • Engineering
  • Construction
  • Product certification
  • Firerelated product development

Over the course of two years within the programme you will gain valuable experience and understanding of the different functions of the business plus build the foundations for a career in the Testing Inspection & Certification industry

Limited travel between our UK and / or European businesses will be required throughout the programme and for willing candidates there may also be the potential opportunity to benefit from spending time on a longer placement in one of our other locations in the UK or further afield

Skills / Qualifications

Candidates should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Educated to degree standard ideally holding a degree in either Science Engineering Civil Engineering Materials Science Chemistry Fire
  • Analytical & inquisitive in nature
  • Technically focused
  • Keen interest in all aspects of fire safety
  • Methodical and highly organised: capable of meeting deadlines
  • Able to prioritise and reach decisions quickly and effectively
  • Able to make informed decisions and confidence to stand by / justify these decisions
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills and strong attention to detail
  • Presentation skills
  • Ideally a Full UK Driving Licence
  • UK Right To Work with no restrictions and can commence work with us on the 22nd September 2025
