General Description:
The role of the IT Technician is essential in ensuring the Banks technology infrastructure operates efficiently and securely. The IT Technician is responsible for helping to diagnose and resolve issues with the Banks computer hardware and software in addition to assisting users with technical problems either in person remotely or over the phone. The IT Manager may delegate any of their duties or portions of their authority to the IT Technician as they deem appropriate.
Responsibilities:
Provides prompt tactful friendly courteous and efficient service to customer by phone and provides research and data entry. Provide help to department in new accounts and maintenance.
Principal Duties:
Daytoday duties include (but are not limited to):
May be assigned specific data maintenance responsibilities in line with the separation
of duties approach.
Serves as the lead in customer and employee help desk functions.
Serves as a liaison to third parties in the installation and repair of hardware and
software.
May install or repair workstation hardware or software.
May track the performance of vendors and service providers.
Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry including current technologies and prices and helps the CIO and
IT Manager advise counsel and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
May serve as assistant project manager on the implementation of business application
software.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Maintains compliance to all government regulations including Bank Secrecy Act Regulation E (Electronic Funds) Regulation
CC (Funds Availability CRA Regulation DD or other policies pertaining to your position.
Minimum of 2year degree in business systems or equivalent
Basic knowledge of installing and/or maintaining business systems especially application software.
Preferred Continuing education in business systems and/or information technology.
Basic skills in evaluating planning implementing and maintaining IT systems.
Basic knowledge of technology environments.
Basic knowledge of business theory business processes management budgeting and business office operations.
Basic knowledge of systems design evaluation and implementation from business requirements analysis through to
daytoday management calculator; and telephone skills with good customer service interaction.
