Northfield Elementary School seeks a teacher with Special Education licensure in Moderate and/or Severe Disabilities to provide individualized functional academic and social skill instruction to neurodiverse students in the early elementary grades. Key Responsibilities and DutiesInstruction and Curriculum:Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).Adapt and modify the general education curriculum to meet the specific needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities. Oversee the implementation of curriculum implemented by Instructional instruction in academic subjects social skills and daily living functional skills and promote selfreliance and and Progress Monitoring:Assess student needs and progress educational diagnostic accurate records of student progress and IEP data to inform instruction and adjust IEPs as and Communication:Collaborate with general education teachers related service providers and other professionals to ensure student regularly with parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress and IEP support and resources to parents and other professionals as neededClassroom Management and Environment:Create a positive and inclusive learning student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly Responsibilities:Chair IEP meetings and develop resulting IEPsParticipate in other school professional development opportunities to enhance skills and to state and federal laws district policies and administrative regulations.
