Do you want to work on exciting legal issues and help shape Amazons newest products and services Amazons Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to advise our rapidly growing and evolving Consumer Devices business on privacy regulatory and consumer protection issues. In this role you will directly advise business leaders product and engineering teams and other lawyers on global privacy laws and new regulatory developments. Responsibilities will include leading various aspects of our ongoing privacy compliance efforts developing privacyforward policies and procedures and working crossfunctionally to drive innovative solutions to complex strategic privacy issues. You will also provide daytoday input on business strategy on some of our newest and most innovative projects advising on new product and service launches security accessibility marketing and other compliance matters. Your role will also include supporting a variety of stakeholders including privacy public relations and public policy teams.
*This position can be based in Washington DC. or Seattle WA.
5 years of legal experience Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and inhouse work Product counseling privacy or regulatory experienceor an eagerness to dive in and learn! Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to crossfunctional teams Excellent organizational skills ability to manage multiple projects at once follow through and meet deadlines Strong written and oral communication skills Common sense and great judgment
