Job Description
POSITION: Material Handler 2
SHIFT: Monday Thursday 6:00 am 4:30 pm Friday 6:00 am 4:30 pm (OT as required)
PAY RATE: $25 $27 per hour (DOE) Full Benefits Package
LOCATION: Fargo ND
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for the general handling of materials where applicable. The handling of material may be associated with various areas including unloading inbound material loading outbound material or moving and distributing material to various operation areas for fabrication.
ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TNS Game Changer definition.
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
- Mastered all aspects of level 1 position
- Ability to efficiently and safely operate applicable equipment to unload load and distribute material with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate with team members verbally and nonverbally.
- Ability to work efficiently in all forms of weather (wind heat cold rain snow).
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assists in prioritizing and coordinating daily activities
- Assist in training and mentoring material handlers
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Forklift certified preferred.
- 35 years of experience
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Able to operate mobile cranes if site requirement.
- Exhibit strong skills in material identification.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills.
- Exhibit basic computer skills.
- Plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
- Ability to work with others.
