Job Summary:
The Fabrication Technician in this role will assist the factory management in ensuring high-priority orders move through the factory in a timely manner. This role is a fast-paced position where you will switch tasks throughout the day and will be expected to be able to quickly change your focus and work on a multitude of task types.
Duties/Responsibilities.
Material Movement: Load unload and transport materials and products within the warehouse or production area.
Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records including tracking stock levels documenting orders and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
Order Fulfillment: Pull and verify materials for production orders ensuring that the correct items are delivered to the appropriate workstations.
Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts pallet jacks and other machinery to move materials safely and efficiently.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Documentation: Maintain logs and records of materials received stored and shipped ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Any other duty as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
Experience with an ERP or inventory management system is a requirement.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Computer skills in a work environment
Education/Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Certified Forklift Operator experience
Cherry Picker Operator experience
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing walking bending lifting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
