JOB DUTIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Under general supervision of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) or Deputy CIO The Public Safety Information Technology Applications Manager performs a variety of administrative and advanced technical support functions ranging from physical and virtual client computing application and serverbased system support within the Application Services Division. This position ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget and that they comply with agreements and regulations. This position may also coordinate teams of experts to collect data and provide technical assistance. This position works closely with the Information Technology Operations Manager Public Safety Information Systems Team and Police Department Administration Team.
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Some of the various applications that is supported by this position may include Tyler Technologies New World Central Square Naviline ESRI ArcGIS Qsys Video Systems Axon Fusus and Camera Soltuions Mortoralla WatchGuard Solutions Pace Scheduler and Peregrine Law Enforcement.
Operates a motor vehicle in order to service computers and provide assistance to users at various locations throughout the City of Farmington and San Juan County.
Using excellent customer service skills establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees officials and all members of the general public.
Attendance at work is an essential function of this position. Must carry City issued cell phone or obtain city stipend.

QUALIFICATIONS
This position is subject to the City of Farmingtons Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace Policy which includes: preemployment testing postaccident testing reasonable suspicion testing return to duty testing and followup testing.
Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with a degree in information technology computer engineering computer science or related field preferred and three years experience with client based operating systems such as Windows Operation Systems database programming client/server programming and video equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Present a positive public image and maintain effective working relationships with other City employees vendors and the public; maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations.
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record for past three years.
Ability to learn to install and operate a variety of software programs; ability to maintain existing software programs and computer systems; ability to troubleshoot common hardware and software problems; thorough knowledge of Windows. Working knowledge of installations and configurations in at least the following: Microsoft Office suite hardware and software.
Ability to meet project deadlines.
Working knowledge of wire wiring devices surge protectors and all necessary hardware to complete necessary installation. Knowledge of printer installation and configuration.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and coworkers; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to interface effectively with all users.
Ability to work effectively with other departments and outside vendors.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Phone printer computer (desktop and laptop) video equipment cell phone tablet and motor vehicles. Ability to operate computers operating system software and hardware.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift 25 to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Frequent stooping kneeling and bending are required.
