Job Description
Amazon is building the next generation software hardware and processes that will run the global network of fulfillment centers that move many millions of units of inventory and ensure that customers get what they want when we promised. We do this by building automated solutions to handle things that technology does well while relying on people to handle things that humans do well. We are constantly innovating in the ways we are automating and accelerating the delivery of products and packages which includes building custom hardware and applying robotics autonomy supply chain optimization machine learning manipulation image processing and realtime data processing using distributed systems.
The Tech Transformation (TfX) group within the WW Robotics organization technically advises and leads innovative solutions that ensure cutting edge deployment capabilities that deliver consistent year over year resource efficiency. We are seeking a talented and solutionsoriented System Development Engineer Coop to contribute to delivering transformational innovation to the business.
Your work typically focuses on the design and deployment of complex software systems which includes functional and performance requirements of components critical to system performance.
This role is 6 month coop ranging from July/AugustDecember 2025.
Key job responsibilities
Develop algorithms for processing point clouds
Build infrastructure for managing and automating humanintheloop workflows
Create novel solutions for accelerating robotics deployment
Work crossfunctionally with teams to resolve complex issues in effective ways
BS/MS candidate in computer science robotics or electrical engineering; currently enrolled in college/university and must have at least one semester of school left to complete after the end of the coop.
Must be eligible and available for a fulltime 40h / week) role for a 6 month time period from July/August December 2025
Experience working with at least one objectoriented programming language (Java/C/Python)
Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience working with point cloud and surveying data
Experience programming with Airflow AWS Step Functions or AWS SageMaker
Experience building computer vision or machine learning systems
Experience using CAD or Revit

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $42.88/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $88.94/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
