How You Will Make an Impact
We inspire youth to dream hope and achieve. We strengthen community by believing that no youth stands alone. Each year Good Shepherd Youth Services helps thousands of youth through strengthbased programs including personal counseling life skills training and educational programs.
Youth Services provides support to 15 coed homeless youth ages 1621 as well as a 21bed youth shelter including youth who have ongoing contact or involvement with AS/CCAS/Probation/Youth Justice System/ AY/ADGS and other family counseling agencies. Staff members support clients to reach personal goals and to have a satisfying and meaningful life in the community.
In this role you will work to make a difference in the lives of Clients living at Youth Services. Services to clients include assessment planning crisis prevention and intervention supportive counselling education advocacy social/recreational programming life skills teaching i.e. cooking and linkages with other community services.
In this role you will be participating in Good Shepherds Health and Safety programs procedures procedures and work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations to minimize risk to clients staff and others as well as to the property of the Good Shepherd.
