Job Description

Behavior ConsultantApplied Behavior Analysis

CenClear a provider of Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) is seeking dedicated and licensed Behavior Consultants (BC) with expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to join the team. IBHS helps children up to the age of 21 whos behavioral emotion or mental health symptoms are leading to issues at home at school and/or in their community. The goal of our program is to surround the individual with the care and the behavioral support needed to improve their behavior(s) and/or reduce their symptoms. Services can be provided in the home school and/or community.

Compensation

  • Yearly Salary Range for fulltime employment $49600.00$51000.00
  • Hourly Rate for parttime employment $40.28

Hours

  • Both parttime and fulltime opportunities available.
  • Fulltime positions work 40 hours per week 52 weeks per year
  • This includes school day coverage and evenings availability at least twice per week.

Qualifications

  • Be licensed in Pennsylvania (PA) as a psychologist professional counselor marriage and family therapist clinical social worker social worker behavior specialist certified registered nurse practitioner or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services AND have one of the following:
    • A certification as a BCaBA or other undergraduatelevel certification in behavior analysis.
    • A minimum of 1 year of fulltime experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 credits in ABA from an accredited college or university.
    • A minimum of 1 year of fulltime experience providing ABA services under the supervision of a professional with a certification as a BCBA and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA approved by the Department or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Be licensed in PA as a psychologist and have a minimum of 1 year of fulltime experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 40 hours of training related to ABA approved by the Department or provided by a continuing education provider approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History PA Child Abuse History FBI Criminal History and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Provide highquality behavioral consultative services to clients and families in collaboration with members of the treatment team while meeting the supervision training and documentation requirements of the position
  • Meet with each family and provide consultative sessions that reflect the individualized treatment plan and utilize an applied behavioral analysis approach
  • Maintain contact with various schools and community agencies to support service delivery
  • Assess the child/youth/young adults level of medical necessity for services collaborate with team members to develop the individualized treatment plan provide training/consultative services on intervention strategies collaborate with team members and monitor and assess progress toward treatment goals/objectives
  • Behavioral Consultation
    • Meets with assigned child/youth/young adult and family to complete the initial IBHS assessment.
    • Meets with each family a minimum of 1 home visit per 30 days (typically at least once a week initially). For those in need of behavior consultation within the school setting will meet at least weekly (initially) in the school as well. For those in need of behavior consultation services in the community setting the number of meetings will depend upon the specific setting and need.
    • Provides behavioral consultation sessions that reflect individualized treatment plans and implement strategies/interventions based on applied behavioral analysis.
  • Documentation/Administration
    • Maintains updated medical records as specified by state regulations (i.e. assessments functional behavior assessment treatment plans discharge paperwork progress notes encounter forms etc..
    • Provides BHT staff with supervision and completes related documentation.
    • Makes referrals to other services or levels of care when appropriate.
    • Completes documentation of billable and nonbillable job duties time sheets and other billable tracking forms.
    • Schedules needed appointments to meet needs of each child/youth/young adult.
    • Submits daily/weekly schedules.
    • Tracks authorizations for each client and maintains awareness of units billed versus units authorized for each client.
  • Personal Development
    • Maintain Behavior Specialist License (BSL) (or another applicable license or certification).
    • Schedules and attends individual supervision with IBHSABA Supervisor or Director as per regulations.
    • Attends staff meetings as scheduled.
    • Attends trainings as needed and offered.
    • Complete regulation required yearly training.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Complies with agency policies and procedures.
    • Maintains community image.
    • Conducts Public Relations tasks.
