Provider Contract Cost of Care Consultant

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Provider Contract Cost of Care Consultant will be responsible for providing analytical support to the Cost of Care and/or Provider Contracting organizations developing and executing complex data mining analytics and reporting including presenting findings at senior leadership levels and providing indepth consultative support.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develops and executes data mining analyses and reporting from preexisting layouts.
  • Uses programming languages to extract and scrutinize data required for various reporting.
  • Assists in the development of new and standard reports utilizing a variety of data platforms.
  • Provides excellent consultative support on current reporting suite and supports internal clients on visualizations of reporting for provider contracting purposes.
  • Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
  • Conducts tracking and metrics reporting on use of applications developed.
  • Conducts training on use of applications developed.
  • Work collaboratively in a small high performing environment to further develop existing reporting to meet future organizational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires BS/BA degree in Mathematics Statistics or related field; minimum of 5 years experience in broadbased analytical managed care payor or provider environment; considerable experience in statistical analysis and healthcare modeling; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills Capabilities and Experiences:

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience in Healthcare Economics Business or related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership problem solving organizational planning presentation and interpersonal skills strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Python preferred.
  • Managed health care industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with big data techniques (i.e. arrayed data flattening) preferred.
