Job Description
Weyerhaeuser Cottage Grove lumber is currently seeking Temporary Summer Hires.
We offer an emphasis on safety excellent wage great working environment with a variety of job duties including cleaning work areas painting brush & blackberry removal yard cleanup pressure washing and general housekeeping in a manufacturing environment.
The hourly rate is $25.77 per hour. Candidates will work fulltime primarily on dayshift but nights weekends and swing shift may be required.
- For 2025 graduates must be 18 years of age by the start date of 6/9/2025
- For 2025 graduates must have their High School diploma or GED obtained by 6/7/2025
- For 2025 graduates must have plans to pursue additional education or technical training after graduation (e.g college trade school
- apprenticeship workforce training or military
- For college students must be in between semesters or recently graduated
- Must be able to work in the United States
- Must successfully pass the assessment process
- Must successfully complete a preemployment drug screen background check and physical
- Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures in dusty and noisy conditions work from heights and in confined/ restricted areas.
- Able to bend twist stoop push and pull and able to lift on occasion up to 50 pounds
- Must wear all safety equipment and adhere to safe work practices
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
- Able to work in a cooperative team structured work system and meet changing requirements and needs
- Able to meet attendance requirements
- Able to perform other duties as assigned or required
